ACTUARIAL LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

The Actuarial Leadership Development Program (ALDP) is a rotational program designed to produce leaders within Prudential Financial. Rotational assignments offer project experience in a wide variety of business units such as: Group or Individual Life Insurance, Retirement Services, Long Term Care Insurance, Annuities, Pensions, Investments, International Insurance, Corporate Actuarial plus opportunities in non-actuarial positions such as Treasurers, Audit, Controllers and Financial Modeling. Participants have an outstanding opportunity to apply their analytical and technical skills while learning business principles. This accelerated program delivers a fast-paced environment where you’ll gain valuable experience in a supportive atmosphere.

Assignment examples include: analyze product design and pricing; create a model to analyze portfolio holdings; develop and analyze business models; create & model cost and reserve methodologies for most favorable options; asset adequacy and cash flow testing using actuarial software; perform asset liability analysis or develop new products and rate filings, analyze how variables in product distribution affect operating income, revenues and return on equity.

As an associate within the program, you will be expected to pass actuarial exams administered by the Society of Actuaries at a prescribed pace. Locations of rotational assignments are: Newark, Livingston and Woodbridge NJ; Hartford and Shelton CT.
