Informal reception in honor of Peter Hilton's eightieth birthday. Chenango Room - across from Lecture Hall where the main events of the meeting take place. 5.30 - 7.30 Saturday Oct. 11. Sponsored by the Binghamton University Department of Mathematical Sciences. All participants are invited. (Wine, soft drinks and nibbles)

Sat. Oct 11: Binghamton Contradance, 7-10 pm. Trinity House (gym behind Trinity Church, corner of Main and Oak - opposite Binghamton High School). Live music by Kitchen Chair (Ithaca) with caller Margaret Mathews (Syracuse).

Sat. Oct. 11: "The Beat Goes On" with Liz Callaway, guest artist, singing the 60s. Binghamton Philharmonic Pops concert at the Forum Theater. 8:00 p.m.

Oct. 9-12: Cider Mill Playhouse: "A Murder is Announced" featuring Miss Marple, by (who else) Agatha Christie. 8:15 Th-Sat, 7:30 Sun.

Oct. 10-11: "Bus Stop" by William Inge, Binghamton University Theater, 8:00.

Nature Preserve. Right by the campus, there exists a Nature Preserve of over 100 acres. Many of the trails in the Nature Preserve are easily accesible from campus. This beautiful area is an habitat of an amazing array of species.

Art Exhibit: "Art After DNA" will be on display in the University Art Museum, Permanent Collection-179, from Tuesday, October 7, through Saturday, November 15. The exhibit includes paintings, photos, computer graphics and the original DNA model from Watson and Crick (1953). Open from 1PM to 4PM on Saturday and is closed on sunday.
