Abstract:
The recent activities of Professor Yamamura's Research Group
include
(1) An investigation of the use of PNA to interrupt double stranded DNA
molecules at specific locations - giving an additional technology for
'writing on molecules' that can be used in DNA computing.
(2) An investigation of the use of bacteria to evaluate the quality of
molecules produced in the course of carrying out a wet lab genetic
algorithm for
developing macromolecules that are intended to meet preassigned purposes.
These topics and perhaps others will be discussed informally in our
seminar.
