Title: Schwarz Lemma for Kahler Cone Metrics
Abstract: Early generalizations of the Schwarz lemma from complex variables
recognized the role of curvature. Nowadays results known collectively as
Schwarz lemmas all express the principle that in the presence of negative
curvature, holomorphic maps reduce geometric quantities. Here a version of
Schwarz Lemma for Kahler manifolds
with cone singularities will be discussed. This talk will be appropriate for
general audience including graduate students.
