Title: An algebraic approach to the isomorphism
conjecture
Abstract:
The Isomorphism Conjecture has been established as a very important
calculational tool for computations of algebraic invariants in geometric
topology. In this talk, a categorical/algebraic approach to the conjecture
will be presented, based on Thomason's categorical construction of
homotopy colimits. We will apply this method in
establishing the conjecture for the exotic Nil-functors in different
categories.
