Here is a
sample test from the last year. There are no solutions for this test, but the problems can be discussed at the revirew session. Sample problems with solutions are posted above. Look at the problems from Chapters 3 and 4 only.
The final exam will be in UU OUHALL on Wednesday Dec 14th 11:00am to 13:00pm.
The final exam will be cumulative with emphasis on Chapter 4 in the book.
If you have time conflicts with the exam that is unavoidable,

There will be a Review Session for Test 3 on Thursday, November 3,
5:00-7:00 in room LH 01.
If you need to take the makeup Test 3, you need to email me you
availability on Thursday, Nov 3, by Tuesday, Nov 1.
You must obtain the permission from me to take the makeup.

Homework: Homework is posted below, based on the material
covered each week. You will not turn it in, but it will be the basis
for quizzes and tests.
Class Policies: Attendance is mandatory, and will be checked
with pop quizzes. Bring your ID to every lecture and test. Turn off
cell phones during class. Basic non-graphing calculators are allowed.
All exercises at the end of each chapter are assigned as homework.
Homework will not be collected, but will be the basis for tests and
quizzes. Cheating will earn you an automatic F. For other policies,
see the
syllabus.
The goal of this course is to provide students with an experience in
quantitative reasoning and data analysis through mathematical modeling
of some real life problems including a hands-on approach. Further
emphasis will be on illustrating the importance, relevance, and
currency of mathematics in the modern world.
