Announcements

(5/8) Midterm posted.
(5/4) The Calc III formula sheet is still undergoing modifications, and you should keep checking up on it. It is not guaranteed to be stable until after the last day of class.
(5/4) Below, in the section for Exam 3, I have posted a copy of Dr. Yu's version of Exam 3, so that you can see what it's like and get a better feel for the what the final will be like.
(5/2) An even newer formula sheet is up. This is the sheet you can expect to see on the final.
(4/25) New formula sheet up. There was a typo: divergence was given as a vector instead of a sum.
(4/20) The key for the test is up.
(4/19) The test scores are up on blackboard, and under "Documents" below is a pdf with chapter 14 bonus problems.
(4/17) - New version of the exam3 key PDF file is posted, with corrections.
(4/16) - Two tidbits: (1) No class Monday, April 23. I'm going to Chicago for a conference this weekend, and I don't expect to get back until Monday afternoon. (2) I've posted scanned images of the key for the review problems below, under the header "Exam 3". I hope you enjoyed your snow day.
(4/14) - Formula sheet updated. There was a typo in the key for questions 8 (4) and (5). The answer is supposed to be the absolute value of the determinant of the derivative matrix. This means, with the notation used in the review sheet, that there needs to be two sets of vertical bars - the first means take the determinant, the second means take the absolute value. Originally, there was only one set of bars. Note that with the book's notation (without the superscript "t"), you've already taken the determinant, and so only one set of bars would have been needed.
(4/13) - The review sheet for exam 3 is up. (It says "Exam 2 Review" at the top, but I'm too lazy to fix it.)
(3/23) - Formula sheet updated. There was a typo in 7. (2).
(3/1) - Newer homework policy: Not only must you complete the problems with a *, but you must complete approximately 3/4 of the assignment to receive credit for it.
(2/19) - New homework policy: problems marked with a star (*) must be complete and correct in order to receive credit for the homework.
