Seaway Section of the MAA
Student Activities

A note from the Seaway Section Student Chapter Coordinator.

Welcome to the Students Activities Web Page of the Seaway Section. The purpose of this site is to promote communication among undergraduate math students in our section (thanks to Michael Seto at York University, ON). We would also like to encourage students to participate in the Sectional Meetings, as they provide an excellent opportunity to get to know people, learn and, why not, give a talk in the students program (this will look good in your job or graduate school applications).

The MAA Student Chapters program was launched in January 1989 to encourage students to continue study in the mathematical sciences, provide opportunities to meet with other students interested in mathematics, interact with prominent mathematicians at national meetings, and provide career information in the mathematical sciences. There are no scholastic requirements, and students need not be mathematics majors.

This site will be periodically updated, bringing you chat and news of the vibrant undergraduate mathematical activity that we are proud to have in the Seaway Section.

Best Regards,

Daniel Birmajer.
