Career Counseling and Writing Letters of Reference

Panelists: Luise-Charlotte Kappe, SUNY at Binghamton and Denise Reboli, King's College

As academics, a large part of our career advancement is based upon peer review. Thus, it is in the best interest of the mathematics community to ensure all academics are well versed in the art of writing recommendation letters. Our students depend not only on the ideas we teach them, but also upon the opportunities and advice we give them when facing confusing career choices. Our panelists will guide us as we learn about these important, though often neglected, areas of responsibility.
