Broome Community College hosted a PFF workshop on February 23, 2002. The topic was Aspects of Internet Learning in Mathematics. The workshop included the following: introduced participants to WebCT, introduced participants to math services offered by publishing companies over the Internet, showed participants how the Internet can be used in the mathematics classroom, and showed participants an overview of BCC math courses offered over the SUNY Learning Network. The workshop was presented by members of the BCC Mathematics Department: Robert Woods, Paul O'Heron, Marvin Blachman, and Jean Krichbaum.
On February 22, 2002 there was a PFF dinner that allowed for great conversations among graduated students and both Binghamton University and Broome Community College faculty.
In the fall semester, Steve Tedford presented a talk on knots to a Liberal Arts math class. He did an excellent job. The students were very interested and really enjoyed participating in the demonstrations. Overall participating in the program was a very positive experience for the faculty of BCC.
