Broome Community College professors and Binghamton University professors and graduate students got together for dinner on November 10th. We discussed career opportunities and teaching methods.
This semester Broome Community College hosted a workshop on the Ti-89 and the TI-86 calculators on November 11, 2000. Luis Moreno and Timmy Bremer from the Mathematics Department at Broome Community College presented the morning workshop. About 20 graduate students from Binghamton University attended as well as a few faculty from Binghamton and Broome.
Bill Hopper presented a lecture on the US Census to a Broome Community College math class of elementary education majors. Bill did a wonderful job explaining the problems and the politics of the US Census.
We at Broome Community College look forward to next semester when we will invite graduate students to speak to several of our math classes.
Thank you for the opportunity to participate in the PFF program.
Sincerely,
Jean Krichbaum
