Hosting Institution: SUNY, College at Oneonta
Date:   March 16, 2001

The PFF group arrived in Oneonta at 2:30pm for a meeting with James B. Greenberg, the director of our Teaching, Learning and Technology Center (TLTC).  Mr. Greenberg provided the visitors with an overview of TLTC activities, including the Fellowship and FastTech programs, as well the work done with individual faculty.  Many questions were raised about teaching and learning with certain technologies, like PowerPoint and LaTex.  The meeting ended with a discussion of the advantages and disadvantages of the UNIX and NT platforms.  After the TLTC meeting, we enjoyed a reception in our Mathematical Sciences commons room, followed by Steven Tedford's presentation on Knot Theory.  After the talk, the PFF fellows joined Oneonta faculty for dinner, and continued the exchange of professional experiences.
