Test 2 will take place on Friday, 15 October instead of Wednesday, 13
October. The deadline for contacting Jeremy Hauze to request an
alternate exam time is Friday, 8 October.
Test 1 is graded. The overall class grades will be announced on Monday.
You will receive your test back in your discussion section.
Professor Sabalka's office hours for 20 and 22 September are canceled.
Instead, he will be running the review session on Thursday.
There will be a review session for Test 1 on Thursday, 23 September,
4:30-5:50, in Engineering 110.
If you are missing Test 1 for an approved reason, contact Jeremy Hauze
before Friday to arrange a makeup exam.
Friday is the add/drop deadline.
If you need to change your enrollment in any way (register for the
course, switch sections, etc), you should attend the class/section you
will be enrolling in. Slots will open up in each section as people
adjust their schedules, so keep trying to register. If you have any
questions about registration, talk to the Math Office, near the
elevators on 2nd floor of Library Tower/Library North.
If you have a sports travel schedule, I can sign it after class on
Wednesday or Friday.
Don't forget to confirm your enrollment in your classes!
Class Policies: Attendance is mandatory, and will be checked
with pop quizzes. Bring your ID to every lecture and test. Turn off
cell phones during class. Basic
non-graphing calculators are
allowed. All exercises at the end of each chapter are assigned as
homework. Homework will not be collected, but will be the basis for
tests and quizzes. Do not cheat. For other policies, see the
