Section 3 syllabus
The Math 304 homepage is here, and contains (among other things) information about the exams for this course.
Section graded-work policies: The "Section" component of your grade will be determined from graded assignments and quizzes.
In addition, attendence is required.
Hence, except for very extreme cases, no late assignments will be accepted, no make-up quizzes will be given except as I see fit in the case of illness, and you may be further penalized for excessive absences.
If you have any reason to think that an illness or medical emergency might affect your ability to come to class or take a quiz, then you must inform me prior to class time.
In this case and if you do then miss a quiz that day, you must again be in touch with me that day or the following one to discuss the possibility of making up credit for the quiz.
Homework is due at the beginning of each class. If you are unable to come to class due to illness, you may turn in your homework to me either via email or by putting the assignment under my office door. In either case, however, the assignment must be turned in before the class period when it is due. You must then come to my office hour or make an appointment to meet with me within the next seven days, to explain to me your situation. If your explanation is satisfactory, then I will grade and give you credit for the homework assignment.
Miscellaneous: A note about emailing me.
